Raresh DiMofte is a Romanian-born actor and filmmaker working internationally across film, television, and theatre. He holds a Master’s degree in Drama from Babeș-Bolyai University, where he developed a strong foundation in performance grounded in both classical training and physical discipline.
Raised in a family of professional athletes, DiMofte spent his early years training in multiple sports before discovering acting in his late teens—a pivotal shift that led him toward a career in storytelling.
After establishing himself in Romania’s theatre and television industry, he relocated to North America, where he has appeared in productions such as Wu Assassins, The Man in the High Castle, The 100, and Come to Daddy.
His recent work includes House of David (Lahmi), The Tourist (Tomasz), and the feature film American Dreamer (Boris).
Alongside his acting career, DiMofte is an active creator in the independent film space. His work spans writing, directing, and producing, with projects including Awake, Damned, Little Captain, and Mihnea. His performances in Polymorphia, Kingspin, Little Captain have earned multiple international festival awards and nominations.
He is co-founder of OaRa Films, a production company dedicated to developing independent film and television projects. His creative work often explores psychologically driven narratives and character-focused storytelling.
