Raquel Medeiros was born in Coimbra and graduated in Communication Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon. After finishing the course, she worked as a freelancer until moving to Milan, where she studied and worked as a photographer for a year.

In 2020 she enrolled in the master's degree in Film and Television Directing, Escola Superior Artística do Porto, in the city of Porto.

During her master's degree, she made some short films, namely Distance, with which she received her first nomination for the Sophia Student Awards. Her work reflects the relationship between cinema and the other arts, namely photography and dance.
