Born on 20th October 1961 in Bhopal city of Central India, after Masters Degree in English Literature worked for Renowned Indian Film Directors , and later started making Independent Documentary films for a very a large number of agencies. Later developed technical skills and artistic craftsmanship for cinematography and did camera work for mainly own films. Also a screenplay writer and did screenplays for almost all his own films. Did a few Fiction short films of recognized value. Married to Shail Shankar Gohil in 1987,and has one son Kanishk Gohil and one daughter Kaushiki Shankar Gohil. For approximately 9 years worked as a teacher of Film and Video at a National University in India and still works as a guest faculty for Film and Video in many Universities for Film and Broadcast courses.
