Radames Clemente is a Caracas-born animator whose journey is a unique blend of technical precision and artistic soul. Growing up in the 1980s, Radames was captivated by the intersection of computers and creativity, initially merging the two to compose digital music.
However, his true calling arrived in 1997. While working at a video rental store, he encountered Beyond The Mind's Eye—a collection of 3D animations that changed his life. Driven by the mantra "I want to do this," he spent years as a self-taught artist, officially launching his professional animation career in 2010.
After a successful start in architectural 3D visualization, Radames followed his heart toward character animation. For him, the ultimate reward is the ability to breathe emotion into a character and connect with an audience. Influenced by fatherhood, he developed a signature "cartoon style" that is as playful as it is expressive.
Since 2013, he has released several notable shorts, including the Vampirito series (Bad Landing and The Call) and the poignant Mafubo. In 2018, he paid a heartfelt tribute to his adopted home of Armenia with the short April 24th. Today, living his dream in Armenia, Radames has shared his passion by teaching the next generation at the Mergelyan Institute. He is currently focused on his latest personal project, Thomas the Robot, which explores humanity through the curious eyes of an innocent machine.
