Every summer, I'm Team Leader for the 48 hour Film Project in New Orleans. We gather local women for our cast and crew, and knock it out of the park. We've won awards 2 years in a row: Best Use of Genre for "A Day without Magic" and Best Women in Film for "Alters."
The first film I made was Attack of the Killer Asparagus (2000), a campy monster B-movie. In 2005, I graduated from Texas Christian University with a B.S. in Radio/TV/Film. I began my professional editing career at Circle R Media (now CRM Studios) and had the opportunity to work on projects for clients like Budweiser, Gamestop, and Radio Shack. During this time, I also produced various short films under Vegetable Thing Productions (2000-2009), as well as working on trailers, music videos, and local short films in Dallas/Fort Worth/San Antonio.
Now located on the Gulf Coast, I established A Girl and her Goldfish Productions (2016-present) and have produced short films, screendance, and commercials.
In 2017, Summer Baldwin and I founded the Gulf Coast Women in Film Group, dedicated to supporting, networking, and producing films with female filmmakers and artists. Meetings will resume Summer 2020 via Zoom.
My focus is cinematography and video editing, but if we're doing horror/sci fi/fantasy you'll find me directing and writing. I also do storyboarding, color grading, audio post, and graphic design (posters and credits). For the past two years, I've been a reader for the screenwriting portion of the Atlanta Film Festival, offering critique and ratings.
My hobbies include painting, drawing, belly dancing, sewing, and photography. I have two daughters, one husband, and two black cats. I'm currently working on a horror/supernatural thriller feature screenplay "The Millhaven Chronicles" that I plan to submit to festivals this fall.
