Rachel’s feature script ALLIGATOR WOMEN was named a quarterfinalist in the 2021 Academy Nicholl Screenwriting Competition as well as a quarterfinalist in the 2021 ScreenCraft Comedy Competition. Her one-hour pilot OKEFENOKEE was selected as a 2021 semifinalist for The Black List/WIF Episodic Lab; the script additionally advanced to the Second Round in the Drama Pilot category in the 2021 Austin Film Festival screenwriting competition. Her 2021 web series LOST/FOUND was screened at the 2022 Sidewalk Film Festival.

Farrell holds an MFA in Writing from the University of Michigan. Her fiction and nonfiction have been published in Joyland Magazine, Jezebel, Virginia Quarterly Review, McSweeney's Internet Tendency, and elsewhere.
