Rachael Valentine Acosta is a nonbinary Venezuelan-American filmmaker and programmer based in Houston, Texas. They are a community-centered curator specializing in Impact Screenings that connect cinema to civic engagement, with a focus on championing emerging voices from the South, supporting analog filmmaking, and preserving historic movie theaters.

Rachael serves as the Community Partnerships and Programs Manager at the Houston Cinema Arts Society and is the Film Festival Associate Manager, Youth Programs, at the Sundance Institute. They have previously worked with SXSW, ATX Television Festival, Austin Film Festival, SWAMP, and SFFILM, and have experience in film production as a Producer.
