I fell in love with film. How... dirt poor but not broke my single mom hung chicken at the Tyson plant to make rent before going to school for nursing ?.. her only entertainment afford was a single weekend rental... TGIF on Friday but Saturday we shopped at the dented can PawPaws Salvage where dollars stretched and stopped off at the pharmacy with rental VHS. Those videos were my only decisions in adolescences and my reconnection with the theater was when my father made honest of his work with entertainment and karaoke music had brought be from Alabama back to California where over the summer I watched Jurassic Park and knew that movies were what I wanted to do.

When I closed my eyes I could see dinosaurs and unlike everyone amazed by just the movie... the angles... decisions... the child like amazement and all out terror rolled into one. I was in love with a cruel mistress of Hollywood and payed dearly to watch each rental when I could... living back in the south everything was sports... baseball, basketball, football the jock was the only thing that broke down racial tension in the south... the religion of the Iron Bowl Auburn vs. Alabama and SEC College Football was the NFL Dream of everyone living in a small town. So... Everyone knows each other and they all go to church Sunday and because of the abuse and trauma of neglect I had to move a lot, so I would be able to morphe and chameleon to any environment. I’m not normal because I already talk to The Creator and that scares people of hypocrisy and judgemental faith because I don’t judge I observe. So the hypocrisy of the Southern Baptist amazed me... don’t drink unless it’s gameday... don’t have sex before marriage but youth pastors molest and to me the church was always about the text they kept quoting... holding a big book these theologians had real power over my peers and my simple Catholic universal faith was to pray... not to anyone for anything but to think and remember to breathe... after all the abuse I endured as a child my own mind was the only place that was my own still in my own body.

Mild flashback: I went silent for my second half of 3rd grade... statuesque to where I wouldn’t eat... hunger fast to save for a Nintendo. If I remember right that was the year I learned how to write poetry and was a published author at nine.

I know being singular focused and motivated I can do anything. Even when friends turned on me to impress others... I might bloody your nose but you are going to get help back up and a handshake after I kick your ass. I defended the innocence of others my whole life because mine was robbed by others addictions and deviants.

So flash forward end of High-school and made aware of loans the college scam of debt usury was made clear while working in the business office of college and ambassadoring the freshies the college dream.

I worked for everything but have a through line of working smarter not harder... in other words I am a server checklist and database management guy so websites, graphic design or animation were my first pursuits after architectural drafting and design.

I paid for my education in the arts and biblical counseling and took selective courses since I was paying for them I wanted to know what books to read to teach myself... hence film school was about doing the impossible and the people are the most important thing in my educational experiences.

Having done it all from living in a car and surviving on background craft services to designing motion comics for apple iPads and celebrities I learned by doing. To be honest everything I have that’s any value is on the talent loan of my prayer relationship of The Creator.

After all the unanswered bible questions; general bullshit of ignorance peacocking as vanity I pursued acting to better counsel myself on response-ability... moment before, blocking, eye position, line lifting and even Sanford Meisners approach to the repetition of the moment to become real again... I had mastered all the things film school said were impossible for one person.
