Quickie Fest: The One Minute Movie Festival will be held on Saturday May 30th at the SVA Theatre in New York City. Doors open at 7pm, with the show beginning at 8pm. The Festival was created in 2016 by Mike Muntner and Anna Roisman, and the comedic duo host the festival as well. Quickie Fest showcases the best short-form videos that are one minute or less! The movies screened aim to meet festival's challenge: 'Can you tell a story in a minute?'

Winning movies and awards are announced at each festival: The Special Jury Selection, The Audience Selection, Best Actor, and Best Actress and some more wild cards! ‘The Special Jury’ is made up of professionals in the industry: Directors, Producers, Actors, Artists, Comedians and Musicians.

Past ‘Special Jury’ members have come from Comedy Central, SNL, TruTV, Above Average, Oath, Cowboy Bear Ninja, Us Weekly, BET, Huffington Post, ArtSlant, Buchwald, Risk!, One Tree Hill, ABC News, NBC News, TAXI TV, and more! A full list can be found on our website.

The show begins with an opening reception to start the evening (Refreshments
included which was sponsored by Sixpoint Brewery for past festivals) The show is split into two halves, with an intermission. At the end of the second half the special jury and the audience vote, with awards presented at the conclusion of the evening. After party to follow.

Special Jury Selection: Two movies win this award, one from each half of the festival selected by our Special Jury. Trophies provided, along with 100 dollar prize.

Audience Selection: Two creators win this award, one from each half of the festival selected by our Audience. Trophies provided, along with 100 dollar prize.

Best Actor: Selected by our Special Jury, trophy provided.
Best Actress: Selected by our Special Jury, trophy provided
Wild Card Award: Selected by our Special Jury, trophy provided.

All movies must be 1 minute or less, or else they will not be considered.
The producers review all applications, and creators will be notified of their status (either way) by the end of April. If accepted, your one minute movie will screen at Quickie Fest 8 on Saturday November 7th at the SVA Theatre in Manhattan NY.

So, what are the producers looking for? Well made short movies. Movies that are funny. Movies that are surprising. Movies that deliver a message. Movies that have great sound, Movies that aren't sketches filmed on a stage.

​If accepted you will receive one ticket to the show. If rejected, you will not receive a ticket to the show. Submission fees are non-refundable and help cover the cost of producing Quickie Fest. This fee helps with the costs of the theater, and the prizes! Remember, submissions do not guarantee a place in the festival, but your fee will support the arts!
