1. Eligibility

Entry is open to individuals or teams of all experience levels.

Participants must register via the website by the advertised deadline and be available to receive the orientation prompt on the designated date. You must register via the website first, attend the orientation call, and only then submit your film via FilmFreeway. Any films submitted via FilmFreeway prior to the orientation call are not eligible for the competition.

2. Prompt Inclusion

All submitted films must incorporate the official prompt(s) provided at the orientation session. Failure to do so may result in disqualification at the discretion of the organisers.

3. Film Requirements

Films must be original and created within the competition period.

Films must not exceed the maximum duration specified in the competition guidelines.

Content must be appropriate for public viewing and free from hate speech, discriminatory content, or unlawful material.

4. Intellectual Property

The filmmaker warrants that they own all rights, including copyright, in their submitted film.

The filmmaker indemnifies Quick Takes, its organisers, sponsors, and agents against any and all claims, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from any breach of intellectual property rights in connection with the submitted film.

5. Screening Permission

By entering the Competition, the filmmaker grants Quick Takes a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to screen the film at the official Awards Show and any associated events.

6. Use of Provided Assets

If Quick Takes provides any assets (including but not limited to music tracks, visual effects, or graphics), the filmmaker acknowledges that these are supplied under a limited licence solely for use in their Quick Takes film submission.

The filmmaker agrees not to use these assets (or any film containing them) for any other purpose beyond this competition.

The filmmaker indemnifies Quick Takes and its agents from any claim or liability resulting from any misuse or unauthorised use of these assets.

7. Rights and Promotion

Quick Takes may use stills, clips, or excerpts from submitted films for promotional purposes (e.g., marketing materials, social media, festival trailers), with credit to the filmmaker.

Filmmakers retain full ownership of their original work, subject to the above screening and promotional rights.
