Pryde Pierce is an award-winning independent filmmaker, actor, and videographer. He has starred in productions of Shakespeare and worked with Fortune 500 companies, and celebrities. He has been awarded for his writing, directing, cinematography, acting, and editing; including winning a "Best Actor" award when his short film "Hemorrhage" screened at the Directors Guild of America in the 48 Film Festival.
More recently, he worked on the film "A Little White Lie" starring Michael Shannon and Kate Hudson, appeared (uncredited) in the Sundance film "Pleasure" by Ninja Thyberg, and stars as Barney Hill in "Alien Abduction: Betty and Barney Hill" on Discovery+.
He taught Digital Filmmaking to underprivileged students for the non-profit organization LJR Arts Academy, is on the Advisory Board for the film program at San Bernardino Valley College, is a judge for the DigiFest Temecula Film Festival, and was previously a member of the Board of Directors for the Full Circle Theater Company in Riverside, CA.
A believer in always continuing to educate yourself, he is currently going to school for a Bachelors of Science in Digital Cinematography with plans to earn an M.F.A. in Directing afterwards.
His latest short film, Patriot, has just started its festival run. As of now it has won the "Best Drama" award at the Las Vegas Black Film Festival and has screened to a sold out crowd at the legendary TCL Theater for it's Hollywood premiere as part of LA Skins Fest.
