I am Pradeep Pukar Gurung ‘Deha’, an independent filmmaker, music director, and creative producer from Middle Ghurpisey, Namchi, South Sikkim, India. I am the son of Man Bahadur Gurung and Som Maya Rai, and I am deeply passionate about using cinema and music as powerful tools for social awareness, education, and cultural expression.

I am the Founder and Director of Shine Film Music Production, The Voice of Time Media Company, and I am actively involved in creative initiatives such as Glory of Zion. Through my work, I aim to create platforms that nurture emerging talent while promoting meaningful and impactful content from our region.

I have directed more than 29 films and produced over 10 projects, along with directing 84+ music videos. Through my films, I focus on important social issues such as substance abuse, mental health, suicide prevention, voting rights, COVID-19 awareness, and moral education. Some of my notable works include Farka Aba, Aama, Pokheyeko Prem, Ek Mawka, Soch, Sabak, Hidden Pain, Jeewan Rekha, Vagyamani Janta, and Endless Scream. My upcoming project Unmukti continues my journey of socially driven storytelling.

Alongside filmmaking, I am also a music artist. I have sung 30 songs, written 23 lyrics, and composed 26 songs. I have also contributed to 4 music albums and directed numerous music-based visual projects.

My creative journey began in theatre, where I performed in stage dramas such as Nari Shakti (2002), Asha Ashama (2004), Bhabisy Hola (2005), and Cathrin (2009). These early experiences helped shape my storytelling style and artistic vision.

I have also had the opportunity to serve as a judge and mentor in various cultural and music platforms, including Voice of David (2014), Voice of Psalm (2016), Circle Youth Singing Contest (2020), and several institutional competitions across Sikkim and Darjeeling.

I have been honored with multiple awards and recognitions, including felicitation and appreciation awards from All India Revival Church (2021), ASCO Sikkim (2022), Praise TV USA (2022), and UCYF Sikkim, where I was honored by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Sikkim (2023). I have also received recognition from Kalla Shahitya Sanstha Sikkim and the Centre for Computers and Communication Technology Sikkim (2023).

Through my work, I strive to inspire change, raise awareness, and tell meaningful stories that reflect real-life struggles while spreading hope, faith, and transformation.
