We proudly present the first Pixel Film Festival, which features works by famous directors from around the world. The event will be open to all filmmakers and all genres, as there should be no boundaries to cinema. We are looking for exciting and bold narrative works that are engaging and original. The official selection will consist of 48 films. Festival will be screened in front of a Live audience at one of Budapest's finest and most renowned theaters - Corvin Cinema.

Pixel Film Festival is a young project. We are a team of cinema enthusiasts from Russia and Europe. Our goal is to enrich and improve the culture of cinema through festivals. We aims to create a platform where all filmmakers, including students or unprofessionally teams, can screen their films in public and support their fellow colleagues.

Rules & Terms

The first Pixel Film Festival will take place in Budapest from 26 to 28 April 2019.

1. Films must be submitted via online screener only.
2. All submissions for Pixel Film Festival are to be paid through FilmFreeway platform.
3. The submission fee is non-refundable.
4. All non-English foreign language films must have English sub-titles.
5. Any genre and format is accepted.
6. We work hard to keep our submission fees as low as possible – consequently we cannot provide fee waivers.
7. All copyrights issues regarding the screened films reside with the films rights owners.
8. The Pixel Film Festival reserves the right to refuse entries.
9. The directors of the submitted films to be received will be notified by e-mail on March 29, 2019.
10. Submissions are reviewed and selected under the following criteria:
- Quality of narrative and production values.
- Originality, technical proficiency.
- Sound design.
- Independent nature of the production.
