To our filmmakers, audiences, partners, and friends,
Today, we share something that is not easy to say. Pikes Peak DocuFEST is coming to a close. What began as a small idea evolved into a space where powerful stories, brave voices, and meaningful conversations could flourish.
At the heart of this festival was a simple belief. Stories have the power to move people and create change. Through the films shown here, we were exposed to lives, struggles, and perspectives we may never have encountered otherwise. These documentaries did more than inform us. They helped us see one another with greater empathy and understanding.
We believe that creativity is a gift from God. Every filmmaker who shared their work brought a piece of that God-given gift to the screen, turning moments of truth, beauty, and pain into stories that mattered. As 1 Peter 4:10 reminds us, each of us is given something to offer, and we saw that lived out through the art and courage of this community.
This season is coming to a close, but the impact does not end here. Ecclesiastes 3:1 tells us there is a time and a season for everything, and this has been a meaningful one. We encourage every storyteller to keep creating, keep asking hard questions, and keep using the gifts God has placed within you to bring light into the world.
Thank you to every filmmaker who trusted us with your work, every volunteer and sponsor who made this possible, and every audience member who showed up with an open heart. You helped create something special, and these stories will continue to live on.
With gratitude,
Pikes Peak docuFEST
