The Pickle Hour Film Festival is a curated virtual film festival that focuses on absurd, obscure, and experimental videos. We’re accepting shorts, animations, music videos, student films, and web series. Our goal is to provide a platform where the creative, avant-garde, and absurdists can promote and premier their passion projects.

The top three (3) submissions, as voted by our panel of judges, will be announced at the conclusion of the festival.

The pickle award will go to the first (1st) place winner of the festival. Winners will be featured on the Pickle Hour Film Festival web page.

Videos will only be accepted in digital format. Submissions may be received through FilmFreeway, or directly by emailing PickleHourFF@gmail.com.

Staff will maintain and update the FilmFreeway account at filmfreeway.com.

Regular submissions open on July seventh (7th) and the deadline is the twelfth (12th) of December. Regular submissions are free. Late submissions deadline is the second (2nd) of January. Late submissions will be charged ten ($10) dollars. No films will be accepted after the second (2nd) of January.

Submissions must be entirely original works with all media being owned or created by the submitter and team or licensed with proof of rights.
