Tran Minh Duc is an independent director based in Hanoi, Vietnam. Coming from a bachelor's degree in communication training at the Vietnam Women's Academy, he is interested in issues surrounding Gender, Society, and Humanity. For Tran Minh Duc, movies are questions that improve people's lives. As a result, his films lead viewers to a state of self-reflection, helping them perfect themselves and towards the good things in life.
In 2019, after three months of exposure to cinema, the first short film, "Pedophilia" - a six-minute film about one man's struggle with his Attitudes towards pedophilia, was selected for screening at the Hanoi Short event, a screening event for filmmakers in Hanoi. Following that, in 2021, the short film "Hai Mot," - A ten-minute film about a mysterious meeting between one artist and one model, a big question about the relationship between beauty and society, was displayed at the exhibition Tang Hai Giua Hai Tang, a combination of 5 artists whose themes revolve around personal and social experiences.
Recently, Tran Minh Duc collaborated with students from the Hanoi Academy of Theater and Cinema to make a short film, "Memoria" - about death, life, memories, and regrets.
Currently, Tran Minh Duc is studying at Hoichi Art and Cinema Research and application center. He does not seek fame; Tran Minh Duc sees his filmmaking career only towards the goals: kindness and the good things.
