Dr. Philetha Jean Tucker-Johnson is a retired educator with the Hillsborough County School district. She has a bachelor's degree in English education, Masters in Instruction and Curriculum, and a Doctoral Degree in Organizational Leadership. After working 30 plus years with the district, she still serves as a volunteer at the schools. Dr. Tucker-Johnson is and always has been very active in the community. She has made numerous accomplishments in her life to include being crowned the 1st African American to wear the crown of Miss Daytona Beach Florida in the 1980's where she received the key to the city. Dr. Tucker- Johnson is a former cheerleader for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. She is the President of the Tampa Bay Juneteenth Coalition, serves as Florida State representative for the National Juneteenth Observance Foundation (Appointed by CEO, the late Rev. Dr. Ronald Myers), President of the Miss Juneteenth Florida Pageant and VP of Miss Juneteenth USA Pageant She has numerous other awards and achievements in her repertoire. She a Pastor at Christ of Calvary Community Church, and has a youth outreach ministry, Mentors for Ministry. She is a wife, mother of 2 and has an identical twin sister, Dr. Phyllis Tucker-Wicks. She and her twin have the distinct honor of formerly having the longest running TV show on Public Access in Tampa Florida.
