"Truelove: The Film" is a feature directorial debut for the two-time Emmy Award-nominated producer Phil Viardo. He is a co-founder of Former Prodigy Media, an entertainment company he started in 2019 along with his long-time friend and client, actor Christopher Knight, but Viardo's extensive career has spanned decades of working in the various sectors of the entertainment industry as a producer, director, as well as a talent manager.

As a founder of Viardo Artists, and later a partner at Tri-Crown Production Group and Natural 9 Entertainment, Phil spent years developing and producing a slate with numerous non-scripted, documentary and scripted projects including award-winning series for ABC, The CW, A+E Networks, NatGeo, Oxygen, WEtv and Univision, among others. During this period, Viardo garnered two Emmy Award Nominations for his work.

Viardo also serves as an EP for an major upcoming animated feature film, "The Inventor", written and directed by Oscar-nominated Jim Capobianco, and starring the voices of Stephen Fry, Marion Cotillard and Daisy Ridley, as well as an EP on "Hellfire Club", written by Jeffrey Hatcher (The Duchess, Casanova) and produced by Brian Oliver ("Black Swan," "Top Gun: Maverick").

Phil's latest documentary feature film "Public Enemy Number One" produced alongside American rap icon and Television star Ice-T won the Best Feature award at the 2020 Seattle Film Festival.

"Truelove: The Film" is Viardo's passion project that has been in production for over 4 years. His experience with Williams syndrome, a rare genetic disorder with life-altering and wondrous effects at the center of this film, has changed his life in ways that transcend film, that he now hopes will do the same for the audiences who get to experience it for themselves.
