3-PIFF accepts features and shorts; narratives and documentaries. All submissions must be in English or have English subtitles.

4– PIFF will accept submissions of works in progress. However, your submission must be complete enough for us to follow the storyline and be able to make a decision. If you expect your final version to be 90 minutes, a 45-minute rough cut is probably not acceptable.

  • ZUL FILMS

As a distributor, we received the notification that two of our short films had been selected. I attempted to contact the festival by email several times to follow up, but the messages were returned due to a full inbox, so I decided to reach out via Facebook inbox instead. I received a couple of automated responses, and then this message:

"Hello Magali we shall officially have the full nominations list early next week. We shall also send in the laurels thereafter."

However, we never received any further email or official communication from the festival, nor through FilmFreeway. In addition, we have not found any evidence that the event took place, either on the website or on social media, despite the festival being scheduled for November 18–22.

We understand that festivals can experience unforeseen difficulties, but in such cases we believe it is important to communicate clearly with the selected filmmakers.

  • We won Best Film for. our movie #JustNotMarried, it was a thing of joy, we heard the audience reactions and we were so overwhelmed. The communication was smooth, the organisers are so friendly, easy to talk to. Looking forward to screening another film and going to Uganda.
