The founder of Dreamotion Studios, Paul James Houghton is a Filmmaker, Director, Writer and Creative Producer, working with major studios and on independent projects. He is proud supporter of, and advocate for, diversity and equality in both his personal and professional lives. A fine role model for his 2 young daughters, Paul has ensured 50% of the personnel on his projects have been female, including all producers. Some of his latest personal projects include 'Once Upon a Riot' (filmed in the UK and US - in post-production) and the award-winning short film ('From Under The Bridge: When Bullies Become Trolls'), which is based on a true story centered around bullying, cyber-bullying and suicide awareness and has won over 20 awards (including 7 'Best Film' awards). Paul wrote and directed these films.
Originally from England, Paul moved to the United States over 20 years ago and resides in Orange County, California. He sold a screenplay to a major Hollywood studio before moving out to California in 2010. As a former executive Vice President of Design Operations, Paul is also a proven leader, with extensive creative diversity and business expertise.
Paul is a passionate and caring individual, and an advocate for a better world by reducing and eliminating hatred, which is clearly evident in his bullying/suicide awareness film - 'From Under The Bridge: When Bullies Become Trolls'.
He hopes by sharing his experience as creative producer, and by documenting his journey as a filmmaker, he will help, inspire and entertain others, while establishing a history of his own personal explorations.
