Paul Hollingsworth is a writer, director, and stop-motion animator. After graduating from Confederation College film school in Canada, Paul journeyed across Canada filming and editing the most haunted tourist sights that would terrify and delight for "Creepy Canada."
Inspired by Tim Burton, Jim Henson and Spielberg, his desire to create heartfelt stories led him to work on projects with Disney, LEGO, Warner Bros. and Google. Paul’s viral Jurassic Park animated film has been shared on Good Morning America, The Today Show and the New York Times. Fascinated by immersive storytelling, he pioneered the technology to produce the first-ever stereoscopic VR180 stop-motion film “Toy Wars” for Google.
Like many Canadian immigrants, I wished for a warmer life in sunny Southern California, where I moved with nothing but a box of LEGO, a camera, and a dream in 2006. Since then, I established my own animation studio in 2008, where I lead teams of up to 60 artists and technicians to create projects that capture the imagination of children and adults alike.
My philosophy is to create stunning animation that surprises and delights while building genuine relationships with crew, cast, and clients. At Digital Wizards Studios, we strive to capture the essence of any project to reach the goals of our clients, including sizzle reels, commercials, long and short-form social media content, and viral videos. Our YouTube channel alone has 94,000 subscribers and our content regularly captures 40,000 to millions of views each.
What is our secret sauce, you ask?
We understand, respect, and love our audiences. Personally, I live to create. I love making movies, especially with such an awesome team of dedicated artists.

In addition to working with new clients, I enjoy being a part of a larger organization. I am a solid leader who knows how to inspire my team to achieve great results – while still hitting critical deadlines and budgets.
In my spare time, I still love making viral animation videos with my daughter and friends. I love testing out new techniques, technologies, and design aesthetics. What can I say? I was born to tell stories in my own unique way and share them with the world. After all, it is our shared stories that draw us together.
