Pat Longstreth is an independent documentary filmmaker based in Savannah, GA. His films have screened at over 50 festivals internationally, earned festival awards and regional Emmys, and been broadcast nationally on PBS. Often working with his wife and co-producer, Anne, their films shine a light on unsung heroes, such as a newspaper editor who saved Miami in the 1960s, a young woman with Down Syndrome directing her own stage plays in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, and a woman in rural Georgia fighting to resurrect a forgotten chapter of the Vietnam War. His most recent short film, The Day That Shook Georgia, was selected for The Better Angels Lavine Fellowship as part of the Lavine / Ken Burns Prize for Film, won a Southeast Emmy for Historical long form content, and was picked up for distribution on PBS’s REEL SOUTH. With over 20 years of experience in film and television, he has served as a director, editor, visual effects supervisor and adjunct professor. He has a Master of Arts from the Savannah College of Art and Design, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis.
