Pal Kolndrekaj was born in Rome. After studying at DAMS, he continued his training at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, where he took part in several industry festivals and oversaw Campari’s web series for two years (screened out of competition in Venice). His graduation short film, Kushta Mayn – La mia Costantinopoli (directed by Nicolò Folin), was selected for the Venice International Film Festival in the Orizzonti section and later shortlisted for the David di Donatello Awards (Best Short Film). Three of his shorts—Dissidia (screenwriter), L’acqua sotto la pelle (screenwriter), and Kushta Mayn (screenwriter) — were screened at the Cinema Europeo in Lecce. With Il Mento (screenwriter), he won the award for Best Italian Short at Fabrique du Cinéma. He also collaborates in the fields of music and criticism. He is currently in post-production on his documentary I figli del fiume, which he wrote, directed, and edited.
