Born in El Paso, Texas. He was raised in Juarez, Mexico. At the young age of twelve, he started following his skateboarding friends with a video camera. He then began a successful saga of skateboarding/comedy videos entitled "Chihuahua Loca." This 4 DVD series sold copies all over Mexico.
Luis obtained an accreditation in filmmaking by AMECIDI (Mexican Association of Digital Filmmaking). He then got more involved with cameras and studied analog photography at UACJ (Autonomous University of Juarez).
In 2007, Luis worked for "SkyMark Advertising and Consulting", where he became head creative. He produced advertising and corporate videos for the government and multiple companies. He also worked in music videos and short films such as "Puente" and "Caminos" which got to be screened at various film festivals in Mexico.
In 2008, Luis moved to Guadalajara Mexico. He became an employee at "Estudio Monitor" and "Saurio Films" where he worked for various international companies, music videos and films.
In 2010 he moved to El Paso Texas to obtain an Associate Degree in Cinematic Production at El Paso Community College. He released that same year his first short film as a director entitled "The Package" which was the winner at the Evolve Film Festival in 2011 and part of the official selection at Vagon Film Festival.
In 2013 Luis traveled out of state to produce and direct two musical videos for African musician Titus Fotso, which will be released in various countries. On that same year he was invited to participate and document a very important conference from “Achieving the Dream” held at Anaheim California.
Luis is currently obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in digital filmmaking at the Creative Media Institute over at New Mexico State University. He works for Aggie Vision as a cameraman for the New Mexico State University basketball, softball and baseball male and female teams. His work is in life broadcast at ESPN3. In 2015, Luis will move to Bangkok, Thailand to shoot a short narrative and continue his studies in filmmaking.
