PRPL Fork Fest focuses on the tasty, complex world of food, celebrating the passions of its people and diversity of its tastes, and examining the challenges, ideas, and opportunities faced. The Fest hopes to inspire our participants and viewers to be adventurous, explore and taste a new bite of life.

Best of the Fest is the award for the audience's favourite film of the festival.
Best First Time Filmmaker may be awarded by the Jury, selected from all film submissions.

AWARD DETAILS: Award details coming soon, however, all principal award winners will receive a cash or gift package award (to be announced) and a frameable certificate. Winners of other awards will receive a frameable certificate (other prize details to be announced). All winners and a selection of entrants will be featured in social media promotions, Fest press release(s), and other platforms.

-As this is a Food Film Foto Fest, all entries must have either a primary focus on a food subject, such as a person, industry, place, item, dish, cuisine, culture, idea, or challenge, or the food subject can play a supporting but important role in the film. Food is defined as anything we eat or drink for sustenance.
-All competition films, photographs, new media videos must have been completed after January 1, 2021.
-While a diversity of films and voices from around the world are welcome, all films must be in English or subtitled in English.
-Submissions to New Media categories will be separated into Chef (Professional), Mixologist / Bartender, and Amateur groups at the determination of the Fest or Jury and individual prizes will be awarded. Chefs and Mixologists / Bartenders must be qualified and/or working in those positions to win in the category. Letterboxed new media videos are not accepted.
-Competition fllms will be presented in front of a live audience, with selected films also screening virtually for a limited time during the festival. All accepted new media entries and photographs will be presented in an online gallery at least, and selected submissions will be presented in a public location.
-Entry is now open. Early deadline is Feb 15, 2022, Regular deadline is March 5, 2022 and Late deadline is March 15, 2022
-Submitters are responsible for all copyrights and releases prior to submission.
-Works-in-progress will be considered, provided they will be completed by late March.
-Submission of an entry does not guarantee acceptance into the Fest. All entrants will be notified.
-Multiple submissions are welcome though each one must be submitted through FilmFreeway and a separate fee paid.
-Fees and other costs for submissions are non-refundable.

-Aside from the Viewer Awards, the Jury for each film category determines the Award winner.
