Pakistan International Wildlife and Eco Film Festival is the first ever Wildlife and Eco Film Festival of Pakistan. As the climate crisis and wildlife species are under threat from human induced activities there is a strong need for Environmental Awareness and Education. The Storytelling for mitigation climate crisis and creating a solid impact on ground using films as a medium for education awareness and action. PIWEFF plans to move the youth and society towards environmental action using digital media as education tool. The films we select and showcase will be a testament of arts including modern environmental education and awareness. The filmmaker will be a key priority and we will have a unique learning experience specifically for youth. 73million smart phone users in Pakistan with 60% below the age of 20 years. We want to be digital we want it to be a thing is social media and youth centric. Help us in growing a better climate resilient future for all age groups, societies, race and ethnic communities and most importantly for wildlife. International Filmmakers are also encouraged to submit as their films will be model for the local community and filmmakers. Be a part of this digitally diverse film festival.

Our festival have special award categories for professional films from domestic and international filmmakers and there will be a seperate award category for the students. As we will be having a student category too. To put more focus on youth we need to involve students which will be representation of youth. Besides other young and all age groups are also encouraged to submit their films.

The rules will vary for different age groups but here are certain rules which are a standard guidlines for the filmmaker and films submitted. These are general guidelines which should be followed, these will also be ethical guidelines. For any confusion filmmakers can email anytime to our emails available or directly FM us in social media handles.
Following are the guidelines (note this does not include information of duration of films for each category, these are basic guidelines).

1) There should be no promotion of illegal wildlife activities in the films
2) No film should prmote hunting, trophy hunting or other similar activities
3) Films that do green washing or PR for Companies, organisations that are responsible for environmental degradation example (Promotion of plastic polluters, real estate developers, big corporation responsible for adverse environmental activities etc.)
4) No Films that prmotes animal abuse will be accepted
5) Films that showcases hate speech or shows racial or ethnical divide or promotes violence of any type will not be accepted
6) Films against LGBTQ will not be selected
7)Films with Animal rights, human rights, Indigenous rights, LGBTQ rights violations will not be selected
8)If needed our team may ask extra questions or explanation on any of the above said guidelines if we feel something is misleading.
