Petra F. Bagnardi is a poet, a writer, and a screenwriter. Her poetry was published by various literary journals and magazines including, Masque & Spectacle Literary Journal, Punk Noir Magazine, Poetica Review, Drawn to the Light Press, Pennsylvania Literary Journal, Quail Bell Magazine, Ginosko Literary Journal, The Sunlight Press, Blydyn Square Review, Knee Brace Press, Kreatif Magazine, The Courtship of Winds, and more; her stories were published by Socjeta Literary Review, Trashlight Press, Bright Flash Literary Review,Balestra Magazine and Blink-Ink Journal. Her poetry was short-listed in the Enfield Poets' 20th Anniversary Poetry Competition, and won second place in the Wax Poetry and Art Magazine’s Poetry Contest as well as being selected as a Poetry World Cup finalist for 2026. She is a bilingual author, English and Italian.
She also writes under the pen-name Petra March; her writing received awards and notable mentions: The Literary Classics Seal of Approval; Library Journal Self-e Selection; The Royal Dragonfly Book Award, and more.
Petra worked for the Italian TV network, RAI (Winx Club Season 1 and 2; Anna’s Tales Season 2). Her feature length comedy screenplay titled, Life is dark (and full of rainbows), was selected as a Quarter Finalist in the LA Screenplays Awards Diversity Initiative, the New York Metropolitan Screenwriting Competition and the Santa Barbara International Screenplay Awards - Diverse Writers Outreach; it was an Official Selection in the New York Film and Cinematography Awards, a Palm Springs Diversity Screenplay Contest Semifinalist, and a Semifinalist in The Great American Script Contest; it was a Finalist in the Oxford Script Awards, the Berlin International Screenwriting Festival, the New York Script Awards and the Beyond Border International Film Festival. Moreover, the screenplay was an Official Selection in the Los Angeles Film and Documentary Awards and the Los Angeles Movie and Music Video Awards. Recently, the script reached the Finals of the Lit Laughs International Comedy Film Festival (2026), was a Nominee in the 2026 Cannes Film Awards, and a Gil International Screenwriting Awards Winner - Best Comedy Screenplay (2026).
