Rules & Terms
* AS PART OF CONDITION OF ENTRY *
1/ THE PRODUCER and any AUTHORISED PERSON entering this film has obtained from each contributor the authorisations to use of image, sound, performance and the reproduction of said image, sound, performance for Australia.
2/ THE PRODCER/S and any AUTHORISED PERSON is the owner, has authorisation or licence from the owner of the copyright in the sound recordings comprising the soundtrack to the film.
3/ COMPLETION DATE: From 2015.
4/ LENGTH: Films for the competition will be in two categories and these times must include all titles and credits:
a/ Short film: under 16 min or
b/ long form Short films or Series under 40 min
5/ DEADLINE: Deadlines refer to postmark, not date of arrival. Deadlines are firm so please ensure your film is posted by required dates as we would hate to have to disqualify it.
6/ FORMAT: All films should be submitted as online screeners. If you are unable to do this please contact us.
7/ PRIZES: The circumstance COULD POSSIBLY arise that an award would not be given if no film was deemed outstanding in the categories.
8/ SUBTITLES: All non-english language films must be subtitled in English. We are a wide screen fest, so, up to 2 lines for your subtitles will work.
9/ POSTING: If mail please mark international entries "Festival submission only- no commercial value". Mark value no higher than AUD$10. All postage costs and duties are the responsibility of the sender.
10/ ENTRY FEES: Are not refundable.
11/ SCREENINGS: OTF / WoDC Comedy Film Festival do not offer remuneration for screenings at the festival nor the subsequent tour.
12/ PLEASE NOTE: While we will make EVERY EFFORT to stick to screening times as printed, OTF / WoDC cannot be held accountable for changes to the schedule after schedule is announced.
13/ EXCERPTS/COPIES: By submitting to OTF / WoDC Comedy Film Festival you agree that the festival may use up to 30 seconds of your film for publicity purposes. OTF may also make a copy of films that are selected to screen for exhibition, judging (nominated films go out to interstate jury) and may also be used for media review purposes.
14/ RIGHTS: The person submitting the film to OTF / WoDC Comedy Film Festival must hold appropriate rights to music, actors etc and be able, IF REQUIRED, to produce proof of those rights.
15/ CANCELLATION OF FESTIVAL: In the unlikely event the festival is cancelled for any reason fees would not be refunded.
16/ INDEMNITY: The filmmaker and its agents agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless OTF / WoDC Comedy Film Festival, its board, judges, sponsors and partners, individually and collectively, from all claims and demands, losses, damages, costs and liabilities relating to the film/s you have entered to our festival.
17/ ONLINE ACCESS: If your film is selected it will be required that you restrict access to 'your' film online until Aug of that year of touring.
18/ DECLARATION: I have read and understood the Rules and Conditions of the Festival and agree by my signature to abide by them. (Please sign below to give your permission)
