Out of This World Film Festival is a boutique film festival that showcases the best Sci-Fi and Fantasy films from across the planet of Earth.
OTWFF welcomes Feature films, shorts/music videos, so long as they are Sci-fi or Fantasy in nature. The work can be narrative, documentary or other. Animations are accepted!
OTWFF will be held in the Guild Cinema, Albuquerque's oldest still-running movie theater. Started in 1966, it became the Guild Cinema, an indie movie theater in 1971.
Out of This World Film Festival will feature hand crafted awards, an intimate setting in a lively locale as well as prizes provided by our partner, The Stage Coach Foundation.
This festival will accept any film that is remotely 'out of this world'. Monsters, cryptids, ghosts, aliens, space adventure, ocean and inner earth exploration, alternate universes, dream worlds, basic life with one minor difference... give us a submission!
Awards are hand crafted at the historic La Luz Pottery, located in the canyon lands outside the village of La Luz, New Mexico.
Awards may include:
Best Film
Best Cinematography
Best Visual or Special Effects
Best Sound Design
Additional prizes will also be awarded to in person participants including:
Signed copies of George R.R. Martin books, collectible coins and a table top game.
