Oriana is a French-Singaporean filmmaker and an MFA Candidate at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. She has wanted to be a writer-director since the age of 14, after discovering Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro's movies.
She holds a Masters in Management from HEC Paris where she specialized in film producing. She has worked in development, talent management, sales and coproduction in Los Angeles, Paris and Brussels. She studied directing and screenwriting on an exchange semester at the University of Southern California and audited producing and distribution classes at La Fémis film school, Paris.
Oriana’s own acting is at the core of her approach to writing and directing. She has been taking acting classes for four years in different schools, notably at the Lee Strasberg Institute in NYC. She believes in preparation but also in finding things in the moment on set through close collaborations with the cast and crew.
