Onur Bilmen studied Time-Based Media at the University of Applied Sciences in Mainz and later worked in television production at SWR, where he gained his first practical experience in the field. He is currently employed at a commercial film agency.

He began his career in sound before starting to write and direct his own short films. His work focuses on human interactions and the subtle moments of everyday life that can be captured and expressed through film.
