Önder KIRIK was born in Antakya on August 15, 1981. He completed his primary and secondary education in Mersin. He started his artistic career as an actor at the Kocaeli Public Education Center theater in 2000. He then moved to Eskişehir to study Labor Economics and Industrial Relations at Anadolu University. In 2008, he joined cinema initiatives such as Nature and Human Projects, New Generations Cinema School and Free Cinema Collective. He worked as a producer and assistant director in LINA, a short film directed by Arzu GÖRGÜLÜ. He was the assistant art director in HALEF, a feature film directed by Murat DÜZGÜNOĞLU in 2016. He also took part in three films directed by Ümit GÜÇ: Taş Köprüyü Kim Yaptı, Yer Yüzü Ayakları and Karıncanın Ayak İzleri. After moving to France in 2021, Önder KIRIK directed two short films: Yaşam Ağları and Do Re Mi. Önder KIRIK is currently working as a screenwriter and director in France.
