Creative Cornerstone "One The Rise Student Film Festival"

More than just a screening, the Creative Cornerstone Film Festival is a launchpad for the next generation of storytellers — a celebration of youth creativity and the power of cinematic expression. This one-day cinematic experience showcases short films written, produced, directed, and operated by junior high and high school student filmmakers, giving them a real stage to share their voices with the world.

Attendees can expect a dynamic lineup of films across genres — from drama and comedy to animation and documentary — each created with passion, originality, and perspective that only young creatives can bring.

What makes this festival truly special is the blend of celebration, education, and community:

Professional Workshops & Panels: Engage with working directors, producers, and industry professionals who share real insights, advice, and behind-the-scenes expertise you won’t find in textbooks.

Live Q&A Sessions: Filmmakers and attendees connect in thoughtful discussions where questions lead to deeper understanding and inspiration.

Awards & Recognition: Exceptional work across categories is acknowledged, encouraging young artists and spotlighting achievement.

Community Celebration: This is a family-friendly event designed to amplify youth voices, foster pride in creative accomplishment, and strengthen Charlotte’s creative network.

Whether you’re submitting your film to be screened, attending to support young artists, or joining a panel to share your expertise, this festival is an opportunity to be part of something meaningful — where student filmmakers take the spotlight and the community comes together to celebrate what’s next in storytelling.

Award categories will be announced as submissions are finalized — because excellence deserves recognition.
