Originally from León, Guanajuato, Mexico, Omar Neri began his film career in 2010 with the "Cine Colectivo Guanajuato" where he participated in various projects; In 2011 he started the project "MonoStereo records" gaining with it the support of the government of the state of Guanajuato for its execution.
In 2012 he directed the short documentaries "El enemigos oriental" and "Fábrica de lectors".
In 2013 he directed the short documentary "Pasión", participant of the contest "Atrévete a sueño", by the Teletón; That same year he started the production company "Crearé comunicaciones" in which he acts as creative director; at the end of that year he directed the short film "Decidir", official selection of "Proyecta".
2014", in the latter he won the award for the best Music Video Clip. In 2014 he participated in the documentary contest "Identidad y pertenencia" at GIFF 2014, directing the short film "Minero fui", winning 3rd place. This project has been part of various international festivals. At the end of this year he directed the short fiction film "Mochilas", which is part of the official selection of the Guanajuato International Film Festival (GIFF 2015).
In 2015 he participated in the 6th edition of the "Identidad y pertenencia" contest directing the project "El trayecto de las luces".
His most recent works are "En las alturas" documentary short film, "La ausencia" documentary short film, "Sublime" fiction short film, "El Mensaje" science fiction short film, "La llamada" comedy short film.
