Omar spent his 4 years in college majoring in Business but his deep-seated love for screenwriting snagged him away from the world of actually making money and threw him into the whirlwind of trying to make it in the film industry.
Omar's first short script, "Demo-Lition", went on to receive acclaim at multiple film festivals and competitions until it found production success at Moon Tower Pictures in Los Angeles, CA. His second short script, "Missing Family", a deeply personal dramedy, received even higher honors at the Hollyshorts Film Festival (2021) and the ISF Film Grant Competition (2021).
Most recently, he's put out his first pilot, "Storybook Ending"; a buzzy, "Ramy" meets "Silicon Valley" comedy, which continues to place highly at the most prestigious screenwriting competitions and garner buzz from the industry.
Omar is currently working on his first written and co-directed, animated short, "International Sleep Day," as well as several features he is very excited to share with the world soon.
