Charles Olsen is a writer, director, and producer.
In 2024 Charles completed a director's attachment to Corrie Chen on Jungle Entertainment's GOOD COP/BAD COP for Stan, The CW, and Roku. Also in 2024, Charles wrote and directed a short crime thriller GUARDIAN ANGEL which premiered at the Academy and BAFTA-qualifying Foyle Film Festival in Northern Ireland.
Charles works as an assistant to Chloe Rickard at Jungle Entertainment, where he works regularly with directors and showrunners including Trent O'Donnell, Phil Lloyd, John Quaintance, Michael Petroni, Sarah Scheller, Gretel Vella, Liz Doran, and more. He has also worked as an assistant to Phillip Noyce, and previously worked in the film industry in Canada.
Charles has produced, written, directed, and/ or edited twelve short films with screenings at SXSW Sydney, Flickerfest, Adelaide Film Festival, LA Shorts, Hawai'i International Film Festival, and many more. His pharma thriller feature screenplay PILL MILL appeared in the trending top ten on the Black List website in 2020.
Charles holds a Master of Arts Screen:Producing and short course certificates in Directing from AFTRS, a BA(Hons) in creative writing and film studies, and a law degree.
