The Oklahoma Student Film Challenge is a FREE Filmmaking Contest for all Oklahoma High School and Career Tech Students, presented by Clean Shorts Film Festival.
The winning film will receive a $500 Scholarship presented by the Charles Michael Blessington Foundation.
Charlie was my student at EOC Tech and a loved member of the Clean Shorts Film Festival family. Charlie passed in December of 2020. He left a huge hole in our class, family and community. He is deeply missed.
We want to use this platform to honor Charlie and his love of film.
The challenge for Oklahoma High School and Career Tech Students is to create a 3-5 Minute short film, using the required elements.
Each team needs to pre-register, Student and Teacher email is required.
The Required Prompts will be revealed in a response email to you and your teacher, when you register:

Completed films must be submitted by February 27, 2026.
Submissions will be scored by the team at Clean Shorts Film Festival. The Top 10 films will be presented to Charlie's Family for final voting.
The winning submission will receive a $500 Cash Scholarship from the Charles Michael Blessington Foundation.

The winning video will be announced and awarded the $500 Scholarship at the Clean Shorts Film Festival Awards Presentation on Saturday, April 4.
The Oklahoma Student Film Challenge rules are Simple:
* Open to Oklahoma High School and Career Tech Students Only
* Create a 3-5 Minute short film using the required element (emailed to you after registration)
* All Film Crew Members (Writing/Filming/Editing) must be current Oklahoma High School, grade 9-12 and/or Adult Oklahoma Career Tech Students. Verification of enrollment must be available if requested by OSFC staff.
* No Restriction for On-Screen Talent (Anyone can appear in the film, regardless of student status).
* Submissions open TBD . Submission deadline is March 6, 2026.
* Film must be made during the contest deadlines only. No previous footage allowed.
* Multiple Submissions are allowed. Students can create and or participate in multiple films.
