3 years and counting. The 2024 O'ahu Surf Film Festival is back for a third time. This years festival runs on Labor Day September 2nd 2024 at Regal Kapolei Commons. 11 films were selected to be apart of this years showcase from Australia to Iceland to Japan.

Aloha we are running a all digital only program for 2024. We are extremely interested in Indigenous stories from lesser known places around the world but, would also like to also include domestic films from the mainland US. For all foreign submission we ask that you burn English Subtitles into your video. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out. Films must have been made after January 2021. Please ensure you own the Copyrights to any music you may have used to include your submission! If you submission is through Youtube or Vimeo please ensure your view settings are private. We would like to avoid any films already PUBLICLY POSTED ON SOCIAL MEDIA. This is a Surf Film Festival all submissions outside the genre of Surfing will be rejected . All Submissions must come through FilmFreeway to ensure transparency I we cannot accept any submission sent via email! Films with a run time of 3-55 minutes is what we are looking for as we would like to include as many screenings for 2024 as possible.

My film 'Unplugged' was selected for this years festival, I was so honoured to be picked and as I'm a very new filmmaking, Ramon was really helpful and lovely when I needed advice on how to deliver the project for the festival. I didn't get to be there in person, but sure it was great!
