The 2015 On Photography: Film Festival will run from September 18 to 20, during the Dutch Week of Photography, initiated by FOAM and The Netherlands Fotomuseum. Screenings will be held at Cinema Het Ketelhuis adjacent to the Amsterdam's Unseen Photo Fair at the Westergasterrein on Friday and Saturday. For 24 hours on Sunday, the festival will make 2-3 hours of films on photography available online for free. The selected films exhibit the diversity of photography and its practitioners, raise questions and provoke discussion of educational value.

The First OP-Festival took place in 2013 and reached viewers in 79 countries. The success of the second run in 2014 was the impetus to create an offline component this year.

The festival is curated by Barbera Brakel and Erica Mc Donald. Barbera Brakel is a Dutch independent photo historian. She produces photographic events, curates exhibitions and works as in photo editor for newspapers, magazines, blogs and (corporate) archives. Erica McDonald is a photographer & educator based in NYC. She founded DEVELOP Photo to provide resources for the enrichment of the photojournalism, fine art and documentary photography community. Her photography is regularly commissioned for magazines nationally and internationally and has been exhibited worldwide.

The 3rd annual On Photography Film Festival is launching a call for Entries for 2015, inviting all filmmakers and photographers around the world to submit feature films, documentaries, multimedia pieces and experimental works. Submissions should somehow relate to still photography, be in video form and fit the following criteria:

- The piece must have photography/photographers as its subject (films, documentaries) or must showcase still photography (as multimedia with audio/video/text, or as an audio slideshow).
- Any non-English language film must be subtitled in English.
- All rights should be secured by the filmmaker.

The filmmaker gives OP-Festival the rights to use trailers of the films and photos, and to promote material on the OP-Festival website and social media channels. If your film is selected, you will be asked to e-mail a digital press kit.

Please choose the appropriate submission category based on your film's length and viewing rights.

Submission via FilmFreeway is preferred.
