Nuakai Aru is a Jamaican, British film director, writer, producer, actor, educator and martial artist. His independent documentary films are social commentaries on history, culture and world affairs. He is a modern griot “a storyteller” using creative arts to give a voice and perspective to untold stories.

His films have won awards at a variety of film festivals and he continues to highlight exciting forgotten stories and adventures from around the world.
