The goal of this festival is to share our love of the horror genre with very few restrictions on content. All horror sub-genres and styles are welcome!

Awards & Prizes

All certified films are eligible to compete for a variety of awards, all of which will be determined by a panel of independent judges.

Award Winners will be announced in a ceremony at the end of the festival. Winners in attendance will be presented a certificate. Those not in attendance can obtain a digital certificate to print via the official website within 48 hours after the close of the festival.

Rules & Terms

Submissions must be from the Pacific Northwest (ID, WA, OR)

Film must be between 1-25 min

You MUST include credits in your film with every cast and crew member listed

To be eligible for the Project, entries must be the original work of the teams; must not infringe third-party's rights; may not contain defamatory statements about any person, company, organization or entity; may not invade privacy or other rights of any person, company or entity; may not in any other way violate applicable laws and regulations; and may not contain any copyrighted elements. Entries containing prohibited content as determined by Northwest Horror Fest, in their sole discretion, to be inappropriate will be disqualified. Northwest Horror Fest reserves the right to make the final determination as to which entries are eligible.

To be certified as an "Official Entry," each participating team's film/video production must follow all rules herein. Northwest Horror Fest organizers reserve the right to screen only certified films.
