Ninad was born in Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh, India. His mother, Nandita, was a dedicated homemaker, and his father, Vinayak Sheode, was a mechanical engineer at Walchandnagar Industries Limited. The family later relocated to Pune, Maharashtra, where his father ventured into entrepreneurship, establishing a small-to-medium enterprise (SME) for producing flanges in Pirangut.
Ninad's academic journey began at Bal Shikshan Mandir English Medium School in Kothrud, Pune. He completed his higher secondary education at Abasaheb Garware College in Deccan Gymkhana, Pune. He pursued a Bachelor's degree in Physics at Fergusson College, Pune, and furthered his education with an M.Sc. in Physics from the Department of Physics at the University of Pune. Ninad also holds an M.Tech. in Atmospheric Physics, a joint program between the University of Pune and the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology.
His academic pursuits culminated in a Ph.D. in Environmental Physics from the University of Bremen, Germany, under the supervision of Dr. Bjoern Martin Sinnhuber and guidance of Dr. John Burrows. His doctoral research focused on the analysis of Stratospheric Bromine Monoxide from SCIAMACHY using comparisons with model results, contributing valuable insights into the global content of bromine compounds and stratospheric pollution.
Ninad's research has made substantial contributions to our understanding of atmospheric chemistry, particularly regarding the impact of bromine compounds on the stratosphere. His studies have been published in prominent scientific journals, highlighting the effects of NOx and ClOx in the atmosphere over the Arctic, Antarctic, and equator. His postdoctoral work at McGill University involved introducing a fast stratospheric ozone chemistry scheme to predict ozone trends using the Global Climate Model, focusing on the interaction between atmospheric dynamics and chemistry.
Ninad's entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish elearnac.com, a cutting-edge online teaching portal aimed at revolutionizing the education sector. His coaching academy has been instrumental in preparing students for competitive exams, combining innovative teaching methods with a deep understanding of physics. His vision is to bridge the gap between traditional education and the dynamic requirements of modern competitive exams.
Ninad is married to Anuja, and they have a son named Abeer. Outside of his professional life, Ninad has a passion for reading history, politics, and cricket. His journey from a small town in Madhya Pradesh to becoming a prominent figure in the fields of education and atmospheric research is a testament to his dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment to knowledge and innovation.
