If one word could describe me that word would be persistence. I have worked in the entertainment industry for over 10 years, and I am still striving to reach my greatest potential. I started acting and now directing in television and film. I have explored and worked professionally and non-professionally in theater, film, and television. I have worked as a writer, producer, producer assistant, production assistant, set design, casting, and even craft services. I love entertainment and to entertain and there is nothing else in this world that I would rather do other than travel and be a mom. I am Nigerian-American born in America and raised a little in Lagos, Nigeria. I grew up in the Washington DC area, they call it the DMV area (D.C., Maryland, and Virgina). In my life I strive for excellence, success, and to be the best that I can be. I made Los Angeles my home for three years before I decided to take a break and finish my degree at Howard University. I graduated from Howard University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with emphasis on Television and Film Directing in May 2002. After taking a break from the industry to raise my family, I decided to go back to school for support and direction. I am currently a graduate from Mt. Saint Mary’s University with a Master of Fine Arts with my focus in Film/T.V. Directing in May 2023. I try to find freelance work in the entertainment industry whenever I can. I have directed a short called “Take Me to the Blue.” I have directed a short documentary, several music videos and am currently working on my first feature documentary (Mona Finnih: Queen of Afrobeat). My goal is to be an accomplished and successful film and television director. My ambition to succeed in anything I put my mind to, and the strength of perseverance is my motto to accomplishing my dreams.
