Nika Koshtur, the writer, producer, and director of this project, is an emerging multidisciplinary artist born in Ukraine, currently living in Portugal. Her recent project, a short documentary movie titled “I Can’t Talk About War Anymore” explores the concept of finding home, reflects on the forced immigrant experience caused by the war happening in her homeland, and follows the interpersonal connections in the refugee community. The movie premiered in Cinema São Jorge in Lisbon as part of the CICLOPE festival. It was a final project of the KINO-DOC documentary course - a year-long course, completed by Nika in 2023.
She also worked as a cinematographer and 1st assistant director on the set of “Summer Storm” in 2021. “Summer Storm” is a short movie about the mother-daughter relationship and the unspoken bond between them.
During 2019 - 2021, Nika worked as a commercial editor for multiple projects in Poland and Portugal. She gained her basic education at an art school in Kharkiv, Ukraine, in painting as a major and later studied Advertisement and PR in Poland.
She is currently working as a QA Specialist and continuously dedicates her time to art, including cinema, painting and poetry, which is an important and valuable part of her life.
