Nickolas Nielsen was born in Lake Jackson, TX but grew up traveling between: Washington, Louisiana, and Missouri. He grew up loving films and always tried to watch everything. At the age of 12 he saw the film CLERKS and realized that he wanted to make films. In high school he joined the Television production program where he learned how to shoot on Panasonic cameras, edit on Avid Express Pro, and performed live directing for sports events/telethons on local public television. Around this time he also competed in state and national level T.V./Radio broadcasting competitions.
After graduating high school in Missouri he relocated to Texas where he attended Brazosport College and Alvin Community College where he majored in Communications and studied in TV/Film production, Radio broadcasting, and theatre before being accepted into the Seattle Film Institute where received his degree. Afterwards, he relocated to the greater Los Angeles area to pursue a career in filmmaking.
