Nicholas Ahu Gartner (Ngāti Tūwharetoa) is a multimedia artist and photographer who graduated from Te Herenga Waka; the Victoria University of Wellington in 2023. Subsequent to this he has exhibited works in conjunction with Te Papa, the Christchurch Arts Center, Tūranga and multiple projects with the Wellington City Council & Te Herenga Waka.

Nicholas’s practice is grounded in the philosophy that art should be accessible to all and utilised as a tool for transformative change in society. Currently he is completing a post graduate diploma of Education in Ōtautahi.
