RULES, TERMS, & ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Newnan Film Festival presents awards for all juried categories. By entering Newnan Film Festival, you agree to follow its rules and guidelines.
We consider films in any language, from anywhere in the world. English subtitles are required.
We consider films regardless of their premiere status. Even if your film has already premiered at another festival, whether it screened at a physical venue or online, it’s still eligible for consideration.
We also allow your older films. We don’t care when you made them.
There are no requirements for short film submissions other than they are less than 30 minutes in runtime.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
If you are not submitting your film via FilmFreeway, you can send a YouTube or Vimeo link. We cannot use a website link because sometimes, simply, they don’t work.
The link must stay the same after you have submitted your entry because we may show your film from the YouTube or Vimeo platform. Because sometimes, projectors don’t work like they’re supposed to. 'Flash Drives' or DVD's or a link to your website (unless it's YouTube or Vimeo) will not be accepted.
All screeners must be uploaded by the appropriate deadline. Deadlines close at 11:59 PM EST.
We will contact entrants if there's anything wrong with the submission. If this occurs, you will need to fix the submission issue by the requested deadline. Otherwise, we cannot guarantee that your film will be reviewed in time.
Include a reproducible photo or electronic image suitable for use in the printed program. In other words, make sure the image is high enough resolution for print.
All fees are non-transferable and non-refundable. We DO NOT provide refunds for festival entries once an entry is submitted.
You may submit multiple entries, however, you must fill out a separate entry form and pay an entry fee for each.
By submitting, the filmmaker agrees to let the Newnan Film Festival use excerpts from their screeners for use in trailers, publicity, and promotions as it pertains to the Newnan Film Festival, and to promote and encourage audience members to attend and or participate in the Newnan Film Festival.

HOW WE PROGRAM
At least one member of the selection committee will watch each film. Selected films could eventually be seen more than six times by members of the screening committees, programming staff, and juries.
Newnan Film Festival reserves the right to stop watching your film after 15 minutes if the reviewer determines that the film’s technical quality is not at a baseline level for festival inclusion.
Programmers determine festival selections. Our programmers are not required to read submission cover letters and other supporting materials, but we encourage you to submit them if they want to learn more about you and your film. We do not share programming feedback with entrants.
If you are using Vimeo Pro stats, you can track the watches most of the time. However, festivals have had many cases in which watches were not recorded correctly, including some of the accepted films. We prefer the FilmFreeway uploaded screener.
The Newnan Film Festival retains the right to accept or decline any film, for whatever reason, without notice or explanation.
The decision of the organizers of the Newnan Film Festival, as to the interpretation of these rules is final.

IF ACCEPTED
Winning filmmakers will be notified via email, phone or text. And they're expected to attend the festival. We DO NOT cover travel expenses and we Do NOT provide screening fees.
Accepted filmmakers must be the authors of their submitted work and be ready to sign an agreement stating that they own all rights to their film and its components ahead of screening at The Newnan Film Festival.

AWARDS
We'll present trophies for winners in all Narrative Feature categories (Suspense/Thriller, Comedy, & Drama), as well as Documentary Feature and Animated Feature. But not the others (including Animated Short and Narrative Short).

DISCLOSURE
Newnan Film Festival reserves the right to withdraw any film from the lineup, before or during the event. All selected films/representatives warrant that they have all the necessary rights to exhibit all elements of my submission, including music rights.
Chosen filmmakers shall indemnify and hold harmless Newnan Film Festival from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney’s fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the exhibition files provided.
