We are looking forward to the re-start of cinemas and festivals after the corona crisis, willing to do our best to adapt to the current dynamics and develop new perspectives for a cinematic future.

We are now looking for submissions for our New Generations Short Film Wallah competition. The movie should be a production of Independent South Asian Cinema or with focus South Asia. A German premiere is desired. We are looking for works with their own visual language, new angles and forms.

What a beautiful festival! Thank you Subin, Petra, the NGIIFF Jury & festival team. Our animated short film Passage had the honor of receiving the Short Film Wallah award (2019). It was lovely to participate in a skype Q&A with the festival audience and to receive an in-depth film review and comprehensive feedback from the jury. Hope to attend in the future!
