Originally from Georgia, I lived in uptown New Orleans for many years and now live with my husband Bill and rescue Chihuahua Mitzi in Milledgeville, GA, former home of Flannery O'Connor and once site of the world's largest "lunatic" asylum. I received a BA in English/ Creative Writing and an MFA in Screenwriting from Louisiana State University-Baton Rouge. In addition to the Eucalyptus Lane series, I've written over a dozen feature-length screenplays, one short (which I produced and directed as a short film, "Route of All Evil") a short play, short stories and three graphic novels. I'm also editing a novel manuscript based on the life of film director and actor, Erich von Stroheim. .

In addition to being a screenwriter, I'm an professor of English at Georgia Military College where I teach composition and Creative Writing. Previously, I taught English and Literature at Nunez Community College and founded the Pelican d’Or Short Film Festival, serving as its director for ten years. I was also an adjunct faculty fellow at Tulane University School of Continuing Studies where I taught Art & Craft of Film and Screenwriting.
