🎥 Nebula Reels Film Festival – Rules & Terms

Festival Date: May 23, 2025
Location: Online (worldwide access)

✅ Eligibility
Short Films Only: Films must have a total runtime of 20 minutes or less, including credits.
Completion Date: Films must have been completed on or after January 1, 2023.
Language: Non-English films must include English subtitles.
Original Work: The submitter must hold all rights (including music and footage). No unauthorized use of copyrighted material.
Categories Accepted: Narrative (all genres), Animation, Experimental, Student Films, Sci-Fi / Fantasy, Thriller / Suspense, International Shorts

🎬 Submission Guidelines
Submission Format: All submissions must be made through [FilmFreeway or your platform name].
Preview Format: Submissions must be provided as an online screener (via secure link or upload).
Multiple Entries: Filmmakers may submit multiple films, but each must be entered separately.
No Premiere Requirement: Films that have premiered elsewhere or are available online are still eligible.

🏆 Selection & Awards
Official Selections: Selected films will be screened during the livestream on May 23, 2025.
Jury & Audience Awards: Winners will be chosen by a panel of industry professionals, except for the Audience Choice Award, which will be determined by viewer voting.
Notification Date: All submitters will be notified of their status by May 1, 2025.

⚠️ Terms & Conditions
Rights & Permissions: By submitting, you confirm you own the rights to all aspects of the film, including music and visuals.
Streaming Rights: Selected films grant Nebula Reels the non-exclusive right to stream the film during the festival and promote it via festival-related channels.
Withdrawal: Films may not be withdrawn from the festival once accepted without written permission from the organizers.
Disqualification: Films that violate these terms or are found to contain hate speech, plagiarized material, or unlawful content will be disqualified without refund.
